Browsers aren't the only programmes to save all kinds of data in a device's cache. Most apps also do so. If you want to free up storage space on your Android smartphone, one option is the History Eraser app available on the Google Play store. The free app can be used to clear all app cache files as well as a variety of other data such as browser history, call logs and text messages. A paid version of the app with added functionality is available for 1.99 euros (2.65 dollars).
