Three-day conference on 'Quaid-e-Azam' kicked off

Quaid-e-Azam Academy has kicked off a three-day national conference on 'Quaid-e-Azam' at National Museum Auditorium here on Monday. Dr Shehla Kazmi, acting director, Quaid-e-Azam Academy read papers on Quaid-e-Azam's family and his early life in her welcome address in the conference which was inaugurated by former Justice Saeeduzzaman Siddiqui.
The conference was aimed at promoting the study and understanding of the personality and the work of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Professor Dr Aslam Pervez Memon, Chairman Pol Science Department of Sindh University during his speech on 'Quaid-e-Azam as statesman' highlighted the leadership qualities of Jinnah that distinguished him among other politicians.
Professor Dr Fakhrul Islam, Director, Pakistan Study Centre, Peshawar University talked about the importance of 14 points of Quaid-e-Azam in the formation of separate state for Muslims. Later, Ms Farzana Shakoor, Assistant Professor of NED Engineering University threw light on the ideology of Jinnah that made him as leader of Muslims of India. Number of eminent scholars and students attended the inaugural session of the conference.
