CDGL plans to beautify entry, exit points of city

District Co-ordination Officer Lahore Naseem Sadiq has said that the City District Government Lahore (CDGL) has made a plan to beautify entry and exit points of the provincial capital by planting flowering plants with the help of national and international donors. He expressed these views while chairing a meeting in connection with the beautification of entry and exit points of Lahore city, disclosed a spokesperson of CDGL on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by General Manager M-2 Shahid Ali General Manager North and DO Forest and District Officer (Co-ordination). Naseem Sadiq disclosed that entry and exit points of Babu Sabu and Thokar Interchange would be beautified in the first phase and within one week these points would be decorated with flowering plants. In the second phase, entry and exit of city roads would be beautified.
Meanwhile, in another meeting the DCO Lahore said citizens are facilitated with computerised domicile certificates with a fee of Rs 200. He said they were receiving computerised domicile certificates at their door's step after two days of application submission in the DCO office. "As many as 262 applications for obtaining domicile certificates were submitted in the DCO Office, of which 190 were sent on the addresses of the applicants," he added. He further disclosed that there were no extra charges for the delivery of computerised domicile certificates.
The DCO Lahore also chaired a meeting in connection with District Benevolent Fund Board. The meeting was attended by DO (C) Waseema Umer, Senior Admin Officer (Conducting) Amin Akbar Choprra and others. On the occasion, the DCO Lahore approved 230 monthly grant, 20 A-category married grant of retired employees, 995 marriage grant cases and 758 funeral grant cases.
