A three-day CBI workshop on Process Control for Business Support Organisation (BSOs) was commenced here at the Pakistan Association of Auto-parts and Accessories Manufactures (Paapam) head office on Wednesday. Commercial Secretary, Embassy of The Netherlands, Islamabad, Robert Dresen inaugurated the workshop.
Speaking on the occasion, Usman Aslam Malik, Vice Chairman lauded the efforts of CBI experts in coaching the Paapam members for enhancing their exports to Europeans countries and said this is a landmark development whereby CBI is assessing needs of our association and possible assistance which it can provide to Paapam for emerging as Business Support Organisation.
CBI is the Dutch Centre for Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries and supports the engineering, horticulture, surgical and agriculture sectors of Pakistan. Participants from Business Support Organisations including Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Engineering Development Board (EDB), Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda), National Productivity Organisation (NPO), Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts & Accessories Manufacturers (Paapam) and Pakistan Foundry Association (PFA) are attending the workshop, which is part of the CBI's program for development of Pakistan's Engineering sector BSOs.
CBI Experts Wouter Put, Staf Henderieckx, Zaheeruddin Dar and Imtiaz Rastgar are delivering the training at the workshop, which is being attending by key persons from the BSOs. Paapam is the host of workshop and aims to build its capacity to serve its members in training and hand-holding of its members for becoming successful exporters of auto parts. Usman Aslam Malik, Vice Chairman Paapam and Wouter Put, CBI Expert will present certificates to participants of the workshop on closing day.
