Monsoon rains to continue in upper areas

Current Monsoon rains would continue in upper parts of the country during next 2 to 3 days. Rain-thundershowers with gusty winds are expected at scattered places of Islamabad, Upper, Central Punjab, KP, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan while at isolated places of Multan division.
In its weather report, Meteorological Department said that well marked seasonal low lies over north Balochistan and adjoining areas. Monsoon currents are reaching upper and eastern parts of the country. A western disturbance is also affecting upper parts of the country and expected to persist during next 2-0 days.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TODAY
Scattered thunderstorm, rain is likely to occur over upper, central Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northern Waziristan, upper, central Punjab (with isolated heavy falls in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala divisions) and Kashmir. Isolated thunderstorm, rain is expected over Gilgit-Baltistan, Southertn Waziristan, lower KP, Northern Balochistan, lower Punjab, Makran and Karachi divisions.

Scattered rain-thundershowers associated with gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Upper, Central Punjab, KP, Kashmir, GB, while, at isolated places in North-eastern Balochistan and Multan divisions. Isolated heavy falls are also likely in upper Punjab and upper KP.

Rain-thundershower occurred at scattered places of Upper Punjab, Islamabad, KP, Zhob divisions, Barkhan, GB and Kashmir.

SIGNIFICANT FLOOD FORECAST
Low to Medium flooding is likely to occur in hill torrents of D.G. Khan, Rajanpur districts and their surroundings during the period 2100PST of 28th to 29th to 0800PST.
