20 dangerous convicts shifted from Karachi to Sukkur

At least 20 death-row and life-sentence prisoners are relocated from Karachi's Central Jail to Sukkur prison following a search-and-clean-up operation in the city's maximum security penal facility. "The convicts have been moved to Sukkur jail owing to security concerns, which Saturday's crackdown in the jail laid bare", the jail authorities said.
According to the reports, among the transferred captives are some of the deadliest terrorists belonging to outlawed militant outfits. Earlier, a big contingent of Rangers abetted by police conducted a joint search operation in the central jail here.
According to the sources, during the search operation, the paramilitary troops recovered a cell phone, which, they claimed, was used in plotting a bomb attack on Sindh High Court's senior judge Justice Maqbool Baqar a few days back.
The security-men confiscated a large number of mobile phones, laptops and drugs during barrack-to-barrack and prisoner-to-prisoner search, which started on early Saturday morning.
