Ameer, Jamaat-i-Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawwar Hasan, has said that the Zionists-controlled IMF would extend loans to this country on its own terms and the government would be wise to refuse that. In a statement here on Sunday, he said that the sole agenda of the IMF and the World Bank was to prevent Pakistan from attaining self-reliance in energy sector and to raise POL and gas prices here to an exorbitant level that would ruin our industry and agriculture.
As a result, this country would remain dependent on India. Syed Munawwar Hasan said the nation had hoped that the PML(N) government would free the country from the yoke of IMF/World Bank slavery, but they had been disappointed as the new government had started begging from the IMF from the very start. He said fresh loan was being secured to pay off the earlier debts and the interest, and the vicious channel would never end.
The JI Ameer said that it was a pity that the rulers and the elite were not ready to cut down their spending but were bent upon increasing the burden on the poor.
