Syed Zahi Hussain Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP), Traffic Sindh Karachi issued the following directives to Traffic Police Karachi for developing the system of traffic management including traffic cognition, road accidents, road safety, etc. According to the press note issued on Tuesday it is mentioned that the encroachments at busiest roads, main arteries, should be immediately removed with assistance of city district and local police.
The road making of Zebra Crossing and stop lines with in the city have been found irregular. It should be done regularised by developing a sufficient staff to instruct the motorists for obeying the same. These marking should be raised further places where it is supposed necessary according to the traffic point of view. The lecture on the road safety should be organised for the awareness of drivers including general public.
In addition to above for the awareness of general public about road safety pamphlet and hoardings should be installed with useful inscription at the places where traffic road is observed in routine. All traffic district shall pay their special attention upon the entry of heavy vehicles within the city, if found during the restricted hours the violators should be punished in accordance with the law.
All field officers including Doss shall arrange "No Parking" beers with its symbol and install them at road where business Centers, Shopping Centers, Fast Food Centers and other are running their business for stopping the culture of double and triple parking causing road obstruction and inconvenience to other road users. They should be allowed to park their vehicles at the designated place in single queue. If the complaints are received about traffic jam due to above violation the concerned section officer including DSsP will be supposed responsible of such congestion in his respective area.-PR
