Ufone, the most popular telecom company of Pakistan, recently launched its Golf-Kids Clinic in Karachi. Through this initiative children were given an opportunity to avail training and be coached by top-ranked players in the country. The two-day event concluded on Thursday at the Karachi Golf Club.
This precision club and ball sport is one of the leading sports being played and followed by youngsters across the globe and the Clinic was warmly welcomed. Parents and children were equally excited about this initiative and hailed Ufone's efforts with respect to the development of the sport. More than 50 children registered to participate in the Golf Clinic, at the end of the session the participating children were each given a putting set along with certificates and a golf coaching manual which will help increase their understanding of the sport.
Speaking about this unique initiative Salman Wassay Chief Commercial Officer - Ufone said, "It is indeed a pleasure to see the kids enjoy one of the most esteemed sports in the world. A year ago when we envisioned this initiative we were not sure how acceptable golf would be to a cricket loving nation, but after the first ever Ufone Golf Kids Clinic we are encouraged to host many more such programmes".
Ufone has always been keen to encourage and put forward a platform for the youth of the nation, platforms which would help build both character and promote talent enrichment and we look forward to continue with our efforts.
