Altaf Hussain: police probing matters independently: Hague

Visiting British Foreign Secretary William Hague Wednesday said the UK government was not interfering in police investigation into cases against Mutahidda Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain. Addressing a joint press conference with Advisor on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz in Islamabad, Hague said it was not the policy of the British government to interfere in the working of police.
To a question he said police were probing certain matters independently and government had nothing to do with it. To a question about police raids at the residence of Altaf Hussain, he said police were doing their job.
