Founding father of Pakistan's nuclear programme and head of Tehrik-e-Tahafuz Pakistan, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan has said that statement affixed to him that he was leaving politics was baseless. Talking to the media on Friday, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan said that he hadn't given anybody the right to give an opinion about him without confirmation.
He said that he had ideological differences with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and still has. He said that the Tehrik-e-Tahafuz Pakistan has a unique ideology therefore it can't merge with any political party. Responding to a question, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan said that he wasn't ashamed about his defeat in the general elections as defeat was the first step to success and the next time his party would contest the polls with full preparation and would gain a remarkable position in the country's political ranks.
