Coordination Cell set up to make anti-theft drive more effective

DCO Najam Ahmad Shah set up a District Co-ordination Cell in order to make anti-theft campaign more effective and to streamline the system for dealing with the cases of theft of sui gas/electricity, District Officer (Human Resources Management) has been nominated as in charge/focal person of this cell in which telephone No 041-9200214 has been provided to receive information regarding the matter.
The representatives of police, prosecution, FIA, Fesco, SNGPL and concerned TMO have been included in the co-ordination cell. This cell would gather information about the theft of gas/electricity from various sources and would arrange raids under the supervision of concerned Assistant Commissioner to detect the pilferage of gas/electricity. Moreover, the co-ordination cell would keep close liaison with the raiding teams for ascertaining the results/outcome of the anti-theft campaign. It will also be the responsibility of co-ordination cell to examine the status of the industrial and commercial unit which would be found involved in the gas/electricity theft regarding its commercialisation and other legal aspects.
