In Indian Held Kashmir, all the top Hurriyet leadership continued to remain under house arrest or in police custody for the fifth consecutive day, today, in the aftermath of Indian troops' firing in Gool area of Ramban district that left four civilians dead and triggered Kashmir-wide protests.
According to KMS, the Chairmen of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani continued to remain under house arrest at their Hyderpora and Nigeen residencies respectively. Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, liberation leader Javed Ahmad Mir along with others are lodged at Kothibagh police station in occupied Srinagar.
