Bollywood celebs demand justice for Kashmiri girl raped, killed by Hindu men

Months after an eight-year-old Muslim girl belonging to the Kathua district Indian Occupied Kashmir was barbarically gang raped and killed by eight Hindu men, many celebrities are now raising their voice for the innocent child.

The victim, identified as Asifa, was found dead on January 17 in a near by forest to the Hindu temple where the young girl was reportedly held captive for days and was frequently drugged, raped and eventually murdered by eight suspects according to DNA India.

Many celebrities, including Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Richa Chaddha, Sania Mirza and also Pakistani actress Ushna Shah, have now taken to twitter and demanded justice for Asifa, whose horrific murder was tagged as a revenge for cow slaughter.

Some Hindu lawyers even defended the ferocious act and prevented Crime Branch Officers from filing a charge sheet in a court on Monday in connection with the rape and murder case.

A special team of the crime branch has made a case of conspiracy, kidnapping, wrongful confinement, gang rape, murder and destruction of evidence against eight accused.

The suspects include Sanjhi Ram, the suspected mastermind who is a former revenue official and local strongman, his son Vishal Kumar, a college student, Ram's 16-year-old nephew and his friend Parvesh Kumar; Hiranagar police station Special Police Officers Deepak Khajuria and Surinder Kumar; Hiranagar police station Sub Inspector Anand Dutta, who was also investigating officer in the case and Head Constable Tilak Raj.
