Energy sector: Punjab government, Chinese co agree on co-operation

Vice-President China Power International Holdings Limited (CPIH), Wang Zhiying met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif here on Sunday. Provincial ministers Sher Ali Khan, Muhammad Shafique, MNA Pervaiz Malik, Chairman Planning and Development, Secretary Information, Secretary Finance, and officials concerned of CPIH Ms Yang Qiannwei, Zhao Bingsheng, Bai Jinchange and officers of Sino Sindh Resources were also present on the occasion. The meeting agreed on mutual co-operation between Punjab government and China Power International Holdings Limited in energy sector.
Talking to Chinese delegation, the Chief Minister said that co-operation of Chinese investors in resolving energy crisis is commendable. He said that the Punjab government will provide special facilities to Chinese investors in energy sector. He said that solution of energy problem is the top priority of the government measures were being taken for generation of power from alternative and renewable resources. Vice President CPIH Wang Zhiyng said that Shahbaz Sharif is a sincere leader and Punjab has made rapid progress during his tenure.
