Downward trend persisted on the wholesale grain market on Monday as most of the participants kept on the sidelines due to less buying interest, dealers said. On the cereals side, Urad Burma low variety lost Rs 100 to Rs 2650 and best type shed Rs 50 to Rs 2750, other commodities maintained overnight levels, they added.
On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh (new) was lower by Rs 50 to Rs 1250 and good type fell by Rs 100 to Rs 1300, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh (old) were unchanged at Rs 1100-1200, they said. On the grams side, yellow peas Russia dropped by Rs 100 to Rs 4350-4550 and yellow peas Dall Russia was down by Rs 50 to Rs 4900-5100,
Prices were unchanged on the rice sector, they added.
