Institute of Career Development (ICD), Cambridge English Centre, has approved University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) as authorised centre to impart the trainings for the Cambridge Business English Certificate. ICD Director Dr Osama Qureshi said this at the inaugural session of the language training for teachers at the New Senate Hall. The session was presided over by UAF Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan. Dean Professor Dr Munir A Shiekh, Focal person UAF Bahadur Ali Khan and Hareem Arif from ICD also spoke on the occasion.
Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, while talking about the importance of English language, said that it is the need of the hour to have a command over the language. Being the international language, it is housing the modern knowledge, which is prerequisite to make progress in every field of life. He hoped that the course will help the teachers and students to remove their deficiency in the language that will prove helpful in getting foreign scholarships or to excel in their respective field.
Dr Osama Qureshi said that the participants of the training will be offered the examination facility at the campus at every one month for their evaluation. He called for removing the deficiency in communication skills which, he termed, a hurdle to get the foreign scholarships.
