Fake government servant nabbed for smuggling 5kg of hashish

Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) of Islamabad police on Tuesday foiled a bid of drug smuggling and recovered five kilograms of hashish from fraudster exposing himself as government servant and trying to transport drug from Abbottabad to Rawalpindi. On a tip-off, SP (Investigation) Mustansar Feeroz constituted special teams headed by In-charge ACLC Rukhsar Medhi including Sub-Inspectors Muhammad Afzal and Shafqat, ASI Naeem-ul-Hasnain for effective checking in their assigned areas.
One of the team stopped a vehicle (GT-514) having revolving light for checking near `Dhoke Jilani' area of Bhara Kau police station. Police team recovered five kilograms hashish wrapped in packets and concealed in various cavities of the said vehicle. Car occupant exposed himself as custom official which was later proved fake. He was identified as Muhammad Adnan s/o Shaukat Ali r/o Dhoke Khaba Rawalpindi.
