NA-I Peshawar: PML-Q to support ANP candidate in by-elections

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chapter Thursday announced to support the candidate of Awami National Party Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, who is contesting on NA-I Peshawar I. The assurance was given during a meeting of the Pakistan Muslim League-Q provincial leaders led by Information Secretary Maulana Shoaib with ANP senior leader and NA-I Peshawar, candidate Ghulam Ahmad Bilour at his residence on Thursday.
On the occasion, ANP Provincial Information Secretary Malik Ghulam Mustafa and other provincial activists also present. The PML (Q) delegation assured ANP leadership to support them in the by-elections, to be held on August 22. The delegation acknowledged the Awami National Party sacrifices in the war against terrorism, said that the party has made tremendous efforts for restoration of peace and elimination of terrorism from the Pakhtuns' soil.
Speaking on the occasion, ANP senior leader Ghulam Bilour has extended special gratitude to PML-Q for supporting him in the upcoming by-elections. He said that if he would become victorious in the by-polls, it will be success of the entire opposition parties. Bilour said that the incumbent government had failed to take effective steps for resolving masses' issues, particularly energy crisis, inflation, and unemployment.
He said the people had voted to PTI in power for bringing change, but it has done nothing on ground to give any relief to terrorism affected and poverty stricken people of the province. "No effective measures were taken for ending the hours' long electricity loadshedding, and elimination of terrorism, he regretted. ANP leader said that his party has great respect for Pakistan Muslim league (Q) and they would work jointly to serve the masses after wining the elections.
