Fazl and Malik still using 'Ministers' Enclave'

Former Federal minister for Interior Rehman Malik and Chairman Special Committee of Parliament on Kashmir Maulana Fazlur Rehman have not yet vacated their official residence located in the Ministers Enclave. An official source stated that under the law, federal ministers, state ministers, special assistants, advisers to the prime minister were bound to vacate their official residence within 15 days of relinquishing the charge of their respective offices.
He said that monthly house rent of an official residence at ministers' enclave is Rs 130000 for an incumbent minister, adviser or official. Without a public office former ministers must be charged as per market rate, he added. He said that so far seven federal minister, three state ministers, two advisors, deputy chairman National Assembly and leader of the opposition in National Assembly have shifted to Ministers Enclave.
The official said that Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs and Statistics, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister Defence Production, Lieutenant General Abdul Qadir Baloch (Retd), Minister of State and Frontier Regions, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and inter-faith Harmony, Kamran Machael, federal Finister for Ports and Shipping and Ahsan Iqbal, federal Minister for Planning and Development have shifted to Ministers Enclave.
He said that three state ministers including Saira Afzal Tarar, State Minister for National Health Services, Regulations and Co-ordination, Shahzada Ahsan Ashraf, State Minister for Industries and Pir Muhammad Amin ul Hasnat Shah, Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony have also been allotted official residence at the enclave and started residing there.
While two advisors Dr Musadik Malik and Sartaj Aziz, Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs and Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Deputy Speaker National Assembly have been allotted official residences. The official said that Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah, opposition leader in National Assembly has also got an official residence at the Minister Enclave and is currently residing there.
