Provincial Minister for Education, Sports, Archaeology, Tourism and Youth Affairs Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has said the underneath reason of horrible problems being confronted by the Muslim Ummah is our collective weakness in every walk of life due to lack of accountability. If we want to liberate Palestine and Bait-ul-Maqdas from the clutches of Zionists, we should make Pakistan stronger economically and militarily so that the international community would not ignore our aspirations.
He expressed these views in a seminar held on Sunday to commemorate Yom-ul-Quds. The seminar was attended by Provincial Minister for Finance Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Deputy Secretary General Jamaat-i-Islami Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha, Secretary General Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen Maulana Raja Nasir Abbas, President Pakistan Awami Tehrik Dr Rahiq Ahmed Abbasi, Chairman Imamia Organisation Pakistan Laal Mehdi Khan and former Pakistani envoy to Germany Mian Abdul Waheed. Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan in his address, emphasised the need to refrain from sectarianism and regional prejudices. He termed the personality of the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah an ideal to follow for the whole Pakistani nation because he was above all sort of sectarian sentiments. The Minister recalled the diplomatic support extended to the freedom fighters of Palestine, Algeria, Tunisia and the oppressed Kashmiri Muslims who are constantly victims of Indian atrocities and said our demand to liberate Al-Quds Al-Sharif will materialise only then if we are strong enough to restore our national pride in the comity of nations through holding accountable those corrupt elements who had destroyed the international image of Pakistan in the recent past. If we raise our demands with complete unity, the comity of nations will certainly give weightage to it, the Minister added.
