RAWALPINDI: Over 50 Chinese companies are taking part in Rawal Expo 2018 kicked off here on Wednesday, at Topi Rakh Auditorium, Ayub Park.
The expo has become a successful event being organized every year by Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) as more 250 local and over 50 Chinese companies are taking part this year ,said President RCCI Zahid Lateef Thursday.
Talking to APP, the President said that a large number of citizens are visiting the exhibition which would conclude on Sunday.
Zahid said that the expo was launched aimed at increasing business activities in the town and provide the residents entertainment opportunity.
He urged the government to provide a dedicated site for organizing the expos to promote local products, he said adding, the expo center was essential for holding trade and industrial exhibition in the region.
He said, this year industrial products have been displayed in the exhibition and the buyers are taking interest in local and Chinese products.
Industrial products, garments, leather goods and furniture showcased in the exhibition while auto and puppet shows, food court and children play area with family gala are attracting the people of all age groups.
The president informed that entry is free, but the visitors must have their identity cards to show at the entry gate.
He said, the stall holders, on the spot can test marketing of their products and their services to a heavy rush of the visitors. They can get closer to the consumers and sellers to enhance unique marketing opportunity for leading-edge companies, engaged in industrial, consumers and services base activities for generating new business, he added.
Talking to APP, President RCCI Zahid Lateef informed that Federal Minister for Commerce Pervez Malik would be the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony to be held on Wednesday.
He informed the expo would provide ample opportunity to the business community to showcase and advertise products and services. There will be 250 stalls and over 50 companies from China will be participating the event while we have confirmation from Indonesia, Malaysia, Brazil, Central Asian Republics, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan who will display their products in the expo.
