Everyone has different perspectives when it comes to productivity, so does the CEO of Tesla Elon Musk. However, Musk has a totally different tip for productivity in which he asks Tesla employee to leave the meeting or hang up the phone if they don’t find it productive enough.
Tesla has recently been going through a lot of troubles, especially with its Model 3 production, which was again put to a halt recently. Jalopnik, a news and opinion website about cars got hands on a letter sent by Musk to his employees at Tesla Motors in which he stated some points about productivity to get the Model 3 production back on track.
While urging his employees to work towards greater productivity, Musk also laid down plans to recoup the Model 3 production by embracing a 24/7 shift schedule.

However, Musk’s productivity tips are a bit different than the rest. For example, as one of his tips, Musk has asked his employees to walk out of a meeting or drop off a call when they realize that it is not productive enough. He wrote, “It is not rude to leave, it is rude to make someone stay and waste their time.”
Business Insider reported, another one of his tips include to pick common sense as their guide. “If following a ‘company rule’ is obviously ridiculous in a particular situation, such that it would make for a great Dilbert cartoon, then the rule should change.” Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for a comment.
