After being mocked on social media for still living in parent’s house, Abhishek Bachchan’s polite reply was much needed to kill all the trollers on social media.
The 42-year-old Bollywood actor was recently targeted by a Twitter user joking about how the actor still lives with his parents. Since the ‘Dhoom’ actor was tagged in the tweet, the user got a shut-up call from the actor but in the most civil manner possible.
Not only did he show pride in living with parents, he even encouraged the user to do the same. “Try it sometime, you might feel better about yourself,” replied Abhishek.
Yes! And it’s the proudest moment for me to be able to be there for them, as they have for me. Try it sometime, you might feel better about yourself.

Even his wife of almost 11 years, Aishwarya Rai, did not shy away from responding with a humorous yet feisty answer when asked if she stills lives with parents on an American television back in 2005. Aishwarya’s reply won her acclaim. “It’s fine to live with your parents because it’s also common in India that we don’t have to take appointments from the parents to meet for dinner.” she said.
Even though other contemporary Bollywood couples including the likes of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput have opt not to live with parents after marriage following the current trend, it is praiseworthy that Abhishek and Aishwarya have stuck to traditions.
