APC on Taliban talks: PPP extended full support

13 Oct, 2013

Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Shah has rejected MQM's reservations on Karachi operation, saying the operation was started on the demand of MQM. He said this while talking to media on Saturday. On a query regarding negotiations with the Taliban, Shah said it wasn't the Opposition's job to hold peace talks with Taliban.
He said the PPP had extended full support to the government in the All Parties Conference and now it was duty of the government to step forward. Regarding the PTI's reservation on appointment of Interior Secretary Qamar Zaman as Chairman NAB, Shah said that Shah Mahmood Qureshi was consulted on the appointment of NAB chief as Imran Khan did not attend National Assembly's session.
