Quality control centre (QCC) Karachi is a component of PSQCA, The primary objective of the QCC is to provide testing facilities for products standards to meet, national, regional and international standard as per WTO requirements of different 78 mandatory items (ie Cooking Oil, Banaspati, Drinking water, Motor Cycle, Energy saver, Sugar, Spices etc) are being tested in QCC Karachi labs as per standards specification in the fields of Food, Mechanical, Engineering, Electrical goods/ appliances, Building Material, Textile material and provides scientific advice to industrial units in regards to the improvement of the quality of their manufactured products in country and also attending the quality problems of local industries. QCC comprises of 12 fully equipped State of Art labs & 01 mechanical workshop.

About 125 trained & skilled personnel are working in QCC. There are about 1100 test parameters involved in 78 mandatory items, more than 1000 parameters testing facility is available. Efforts are being made to accredit the labs. Following instruments are installed at QCC Karachi Labs.
