Nine people killed in various accidents during Eid holidays

At least nine people including four members of same family were killed while over 60 others sustained injuries in different accidents during three days of the Eid. According to details, four persons of a family were on their way on a motorcycle when an over speeding car hit them at Gujrawala Road near Dera Shah Jamal, killing them on the spot. The deceased were identified as Qaisar, Anis, Misbah and Mehwish.
In another accident occurred on Jalalpur Road, a car rammed into a tree and overturned, killing a man named Muhammad Saqib on the spot. Rescue 1122 recovered dead body of a young girl from water of Jhang branch canal. The Rescue sources said that the teenage girl was thrown in the water after hanging her to death. The body was shifted to hospital for her identification. A man identified as Jamshed Abbas was killed when police opened fire at him in Dera Bhagit village.
A woman received burnt injuries during cooking meat when all of sudden fire caught her in Mian Bazar area. She was shifted to district hospital for treatment where she succumbed to injuries. She was identified as Farida Baigum. Two brothers hanged to death their sister Suria Bibi over domestic dispute in Chek Bhatti area. The accused managed to flee from the scene after committing the crime. The police registered an FIR against the culprit and started investigation. According to Rescue 1122 sources, more then 60 people sustained injuries in different accidents during Eid days and they shifted them to hospitals.
