After assassination of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Israrullah Gandapur, the provincial government has ordered to increase the security of the ministers, advisers, and Members of the Provincial Assembly. The directives were issued by KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, after death of the provincial minister in a suicide bomb attack in D.I Khan, other day.
Sources said that it was allowed to provincial ministers and members of KP Assembly to deploy additional two or three security guards for their protection along with other arrangements by the government. KP is mourning the death of Israrullah Gandapur, who was killed by a suicide bomber at his native village Dera Ismail Khan on first day of Eid. The national flag at government buildings and public sector institutions was remained half-mast, while government had also announced observing of three-day mourning over the death of the minister.
All the government activities and celebrations were cancelled. Meanwhile, talking to reporters, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Home Secretary, Syed Akhtar Ali Shah said that the suicide bomber wore turban and talked with provincial minister in local language. He exploded himself in the Hujra of provincial minister, which killed more than 10 people along with the minister.
