The provincial government of Sichuan has offered Sindh government co-operation in exploiting mineral resources, development of agriculture and water management. The offer was given to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah at a meeting with Governor Wei Hong here on Wednesday. Governor Hong said that China has rich experience in the areas of mining, agriculture and water management, therefore Sindh government can benefit from it.
Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah highlighting the potential Sindh offers for Chinese investment said that there was vast scope for investment in Thar coal mining, wind and solar-based alternative energy generation. The Governor informed the delegation led by Chief Minister Sindh who has been invited to attend the 14th Western China International Fair, that the exhibition has emerged as the most important event to showcase Western China to the world and is participated by 72 countries, regions and 28 provinces.
On the occasion, Qaim Ali Shah invited Governor Wei to visit Sindh province. Li Jiaguo, Deputy Secretary General of Sichuan Provincial People's Government hosted a luncheon in honour of the Chief Minister and the delegation. Speaking on the occasion Syed Qaim Ali Shah invited Chinese investors to take advantage of the immense investment opportunities that the province offered to the Chinese.
