The Technical Education Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) should modify the syllabus and training after keeping in view the requirement of local industry. Khawaja Muhammad Usman, President of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) said this while talking to Tevta Vice President, Syed Iftikhar Ali Shah and Secretary General, Khurram Javed.
MCCI President said the diploma holders of Tevta had to attain training in factories when they joined the jobs. Teveta Manager Irfan Saghir said Tevta was working on a three-pronged strategy to overcome the shortage of skilled manpower in the country. He said all efforts were being utilised to prepare a competitive and quality workforce through a technical education and vocational training system in Punjab. The meeting was also attended by Tevta Assistant Managers Arshad Ali and Riaz Ahmed.
