25 Oct, 2013

The Supreme Court has rejected the plea submitted by the convict Shahrukh Jatoi on Thursday in Shahzeb Khan's murder case. Shahrukh Jatoi's lawyer Shafqat Shah Masoomi had challenged the First Investigation Report (FIR) in the SC's Karachi registry requesting to annul the Shahzeb's murder case. However, the SC's divisional bench comprised Justice Sarmad Jalal Usmani and Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, rejected the plea.
It should be mentioned that the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) declared death penalty for the murderer of Shahzeb Khan, Shahrukh Jatoi and his friend Sajjad Talpur in the case. Earlier, Shahrukh Jatoi had requested to transfer the case in session court while the SC also rejected the plea as well.
