Quake-hit victims of Awaran: Shahbaz constitutes body for rehabilitation

Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, has constituted a committee for the rehabilitation of earthquake-affectees of Balochistan and asked Mohammad Pervaiz (MNA) to motivate and mobilise the affluent sections of society to extend maximum support to the government effort.
Mohammad Pervaiz in a letter to former Chairman, Pakistan Chemicals and Dyers Merchant Association (PCDMA) Salim Vali Muhammad has said that the devastating earthquake in Balochistan has affected around 300,000 people, more then 300 precious lives have been lost and thousands injured, the affectees are waiting for relief under the open sky. He said that he has visited Awaran, where he saw with his own eyes the plight of our Baloch brothers and sisters.
He pointed out that the people of Punjab have always stood behind their Pakistani brothers and sisters in time of need, and have donated huge amount for various efforts such as the rehabilitation of displaced people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where now a state of the art hospital is currently in the last stage of construction in Swat, built by donations. He said it is our goal to build a similar hospital for the people of Balochistan in the affected area with your donations.
Reacting on the appeal, Chairman PCDMA Shokat Riaz has assured Pervaiz that the members of PCDMA will defiantly extend help to the quake victims in Balochistan well as for proposed hospital He said that a delegation of the association will meet Chief Minister Punjab by November 15 in this regard.
