KP government rehabilitates 60 schools so far

Out of 181 completely destroyed schools during militancy, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has rehabilitated 60 schools so far. According to a spokesperson of Provincial Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Settlement Authority (PRRSA), reconstruction and rehabilitation of the schools destroyed during militancy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is in full swing. He said US Agency for International Development (USAID) was also providing financial assistance for the rehabilitation of 117 schools.
Besides the reconstruction, USAID is also providing all necessary furniture, laboratory equipment and free bags to all students. Furthermore, the construction of 41 schools has been completed with the financial assistance of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) under the supervision of Pakistan Army while different NGOs have also rehabilitated five schools.
Similarly, rehabilitation work on flood affected bridges at Khawazakhela and Mingora is in final stage which would be inaugurated for all kind of vehicular traffic soon. Furthermore, work on 13 big drinking water schemes in district Buner is also in progress. The completion of the schemes would benefit a huge population.
