City Police Officer (CPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana has said that establishing a Citizen Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) is on top priority and Rawalpindi Chamber will be given concrete representation in this regard. He said that problems faced by the business community would be resolved and no stone will be left unturned in this regard.
He was exchanging these views with the President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Dr Shimail Daud Arain in a meeting held at CPO office here on Thursday.
Former Presidents Sohail Altaf, Asad Mashadi, Senior Vice President Malik Shahid Saleem, Vice President Alam Chughtai and member excutive committee Shehzad Saeed were also present on the occasion.
CPO Bilal Siddique termed business community is an asset for the country and said that security of businessmen is the prime task of the police. He said that culprits involved in street crimes will be dealt with iron hands every possible measure will be taken in this regard. He ensured his full co-operation to the president RCCI.
Speaking on the occasion President RCCI Dr Shimail Daud Arain said that RCCI always cooperate with the administration and owing to the deteriorating law and order situation business community is facing immense problems specially kidnapping for ransom has become a routine. He demanded of the government to take stern action against the offenders involved in such incidents.
President RCCI said that establishment of Citizens Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) is the foremost demand of the Rawalpindi Chamber.
He said that RCCI is bridging the gap between the government and the business community and play proactive role for the betterment of the national exchequer so interests of the said community must be safeguarded.-PR
