Six more killed in city

At least six persons were killed in separate incidents of violence at various parts of the city here on Thursday. According to police and rescue sources, unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate gunshots at a café located at Korangi area.
Resultantly, four persons sustained serious bullet wounds while three of them succumbed to their injuries on the way to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). The deceased persons were identified as Shakeel, 35, Ayaz Sultan, 42 and Mukhtiar Ali, 30, son of Jan Muhammad while the injured person was identified as Jan Muhammad, 70.
Police said that although the motive behind this incident could not be ascertained, it seemed that personal enmity might have been the reason. No case was registered till filing of this report. A 35-year-old man namely Nazim son of Nazar Muhammad was killed while two others including Zaraar Muhammad and an unknown sustained injured in an armed ambush at Qayyumabad road, Korangi. Police said that body and the injured persons were shifted to JPMC where doctors declared the condition of injured persons critical.
Police said that they had been targeted over personal enmity as no affiliation had so far been confirmed with any political or religious party. No case was registered till filing of this report.
A slaughtered body was recovered from Duo-Darya road located at Sea View in the limits of Darakshan police station. Police said the deceased, who was identified as Ali, 35, son of Abdur Razzaq, was the resident of Lines area.
They said the victim was kidnapped and then murdered and added that motive behind his murder was yet to be ascertained.
A man namely Sharfuddin, 25, was stabbed to death at his residence located at Shershah Area. Police said that unidentified armed men after a hot debate penetrated a knife in his abdomen multiple times that claimed his life. They said the deceased had some family disputes and that might have been the reason of his death. Further investigation was underway.
