Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Faisal Sabzwari has said that his party is not against the new delimitations in the metropolis but they should not be on political basis. Talking to media persons here on Friday, Faisal Sabzwari claimed that MQM holds 85 percent mandate of Karachi. He said politically-based delimitations would be an attempt to snatch mandate of a political party having majority and it was neither justified nor acceptable.
The MQM leader said the government should make new districts in the areas across the province where it was needed. However, Faisal Sabzwari urged to keep public demands and opinion in view in formation of new districts. He alleged that under the new Local Bodies (LB) system elected representatives would have no power.
