US Plains HRW wheat bids steady

Cash basis bids for hard red winter wheat held steady on Friday across the southern US Plains, grain dealers said. Protein premiums for railcar wheat to and through Kansas City were 4 cents a bushel higher for 11.80 percent protein through 12.60-pro supplies. But premiums fell 8 cents a bushel for 13.60- and 13.80-pro wheat and dropped a nickel a bushel for 14.00-pro wheat. At the Chicago Board of Trade, the K.C. hard red winter wheat December contract was at $7.36 in early morning trading activity.
