Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Nadeem Hassan Asif directed the DMA to remove the encroachment from the footpath of H-9 weekly bazaar within three days. This, he said that during the surprise visit of weekly bazaar of H-9 here on Sunday.
The Chairman CDA inspected the various areas of weekly bazaar and expressed dissatisfaction over the poor condition of public toilets.
He directed the sanitation staff working there to clean the public toilets and no garbage or stagnant water should be seen in area of bazaar.
Chairman also visited the I J Principal Road and said that it is the prime responsibility of Capital Development Authority (CDA) to provide clean and healthy environment to the residents of Islamabad.
He visited the I J Principal Road and checked the cleanliness of road in connection with complaints that I J Principal Road is not being looked after properly by Sanitation department.
He said that stagnant water and garbage is the potential breeding site for dengue. He said that all wings of CDA should work jointly in eliminating this menace from the city.
He asked the Environment Wing to start fresh plantation in green belts and medians along I J Principal Road. All kind of encroachments shall be cleared from this road, he added.
He further directed the Environment and Sanitation Wing to carry out a joint survey of the city and do away with stagnant water and garbage in all public places, parks and tourist sites.
