Pesco recovers Rs 1.8 million in arrears

Inspection teams of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) in collaboration with the police held over 100 persons for using direct hooks and recovered about Rs 1.8 million arrears from them. The names of accused included Ishfaq Khan, Zahoor Khan, Zain Ullah, Zahid, Taj Wali, Muhammad Ali, Zaiwar Jan, Faiz-ur-Rehman, Farooq Khan, Mujahid, Abu Bakkar, Zar Muhammad, Fazal Wahid, Bacha Khan, Jannat Gul, Shafi Ullah, Mir Wali, Khial Nawaz, Shiekh Qamar Zaman, Abdullah, Naeemullah, Salahuddin, Muhammad Nazir, Humayun.
According to a spokesman of the company, the drive against illegal use of electricity and direct hooks will continue. Pesco has once again warned electricity stealers to stop power pilferage in the larger interest of the nation, which inflicting heavy financial losses, on the other hand the whole distribution system gets over loaded resulting in creation of inconvenience of frequent power breakdowns for the consumers.
