Rainfall in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa raises chill

Most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Peshawar City received heavy rainfall of varying intensities on Thursday, increasing chill in weather by decreasing temperature. The rain started late Wednesday increased the chill and caused little miseries to dwellers of the provincial capital as rainwater inundated low-lying areas and caused partial damage to mud houses.
It rained the whole day with intervals and Peshawar received 22.8 millimetres rain till evening, while the Met Office forecast that the series would be continued in the upper areas, while in lower parts of the KP the rain would be continued till late night.
According to Peshawar Metrological Department, the rain system dispersed in lower parts of KP, while the temperature will goes down to 17 degree centigrade. Meanwhile, three persons were also injured when a hotel in Bakhsho area was damaged. Soon after the incident, Rescue staff rushed the site and shifted the injured persons to Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar. The injured persons were identified as Shahid, Habib and Akmal.
