Capital City police in a search operation apprehended 28 suspected persons and recovered weapons and narcotics from their possession here on Sunday. On the directives of Chief Capital Police Officer (CCPO), Police Station Yakatooth carried out search operation in Hazar Khwani, a suburban locality and arrested 28 suspects including some proclaimed offenders. The search operation was aimed to purge the area of criminal elements ahead of Muaharam-ul-Haram.
During search operation heavy contingent of police have been deployed in the area while door to door search operation was continue till filing of this report. Tough security arrangements have been made in the city aimed to avert any untoward situation.
A spokesman, Chief Capital City has also confirmed the search operation in Achar Kalay, Ghari Qamar Din and Ghari Atta Mohammad area. Police during search operation recovered five AK-47 riffles and three pistols.
