Terror bid foiled Ranger personnel, three TTP men killed

Rangers on Wednesday foiled a terror bid planned for the 10th of Muharam-ul-Haraam after killing three members of Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during an encounter took place in Gulshan-e-Bunair area of the city. A Sepoy of Rangers Sindh was also killed in a shootout between law enforcers and criminals. According to the details, on the tips, Rangers conducted a targeted raid in Gulshan-e-Bunair in the wee hours.
On seeing Rangers, terrorists opened fire which was retaliated. During an exchange of fire, three terrorists and Rangers personnel named Ali Akbar were killed. Rangers' spokesman said that terrorists were planning to carry out an act of terrorism on the 10th of Muharram. The Rangers also recovered weapons and hand grenade from the spot.
The terrorists killed in an encounter were later identified as Ameerullah Mahsood, Khan Wali and other. Sepoy Ali Akbar, who got killed during the encounter. The martyred personnel belonged to Mansehra and his duration of service was 7 years and 11 months. He left behind a wife and two daughters. Funeral prayer of Sepoy Akber Ali was offered at HQ Bhittai Rangers. DG Rangers Major General Rizwan Akhtar, DDG Rangers, Addl IG and other senior Ranger officers attended the funeral prayer. He would be laid to rest at ancestral village in Mansehra.
