More than 50 devotees were injured due to stampede at the Mausoleum of Baba Farid Shakar Gunj here on Wednesday. According to details, rush increased in the mausoleum and caused stampede after closure of "Behshati Darwaza." In an attempt to get out of the mausoleum, several persons fell down due to thrust and were crushed underfoot and received injuries. The injured were shifted to hospital where condition of all injured people was out of danger and most of them were discharged after first medical aid, doctors said.
The mausoleum administration said that plan has been chalked out to avoid such incidents in future.
