Karachi trade, industry hail end of strike

Patron-in-Chief KATI, S M Muneer, President All Karachi Industrial Alliance, Mian Zahid Hussain and President KATI Syed Farukh Mazhar appreciated the calling off the goods transporters strike terming it a good sign for industries and commerce. They have congratulated Minister for Finance, Ishaq Dar, on successful dialogue with goods transporters and declared it a positive step for country and economy.
S.M.Muneer said that they appreciated the efforts of Federal Minister Ishaq Dar and Sharjeel Inam Memon on positive and meaningful negotiations with the strikers He said strike inflicted irreparable loss to the economy He said beside financial losses our goodwill was also badly affected in international market due to non transportation of export containers in time.
Mian Zahid Hussain said that the issue was resolved due to prudent steps taken by the government. He said that Pakistan has suffered a loss of more than Rs 40 billion due to strike Syed Farukh Mazhar appreciated the efforts of Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar and Sindh Government and said that industrialists and businessmen have suffered tremendous loss due to cancelling of export orders and expiry of letters of credits. He said that consignments, to be exported to Europe and other countries on the eve of Christmas and new year, were withheld due to strike. now transportation of these will be possible. He demanded industry friendly steps to handle such situation in future.-PR
