Punjab Minister for Food Bilal Yaseen has said that no increase has been made in the prices of flour and a 20kg Atta bag will be sold at Rs 785. He disclosed this in a meeting with a delegation of Flour Mills Association here on Thursday. The delegation was led by its former president and head of ruling group in the association, Asim Ahmad Raza. Bilal Yaseen appreciated the co-operation of Flour Mills Association for provision of flour in abundance in Rawalpindi.
The minister directed the price control magistrates and district administration to check Atta chakkis and strict action should be taken against the owners selling Atta on higher rates. He also directed the food inspectors to check the quality of flour at chakkis. Bilal Yaseen said that every possible step is being taken to provide essential items to the people at fixed rates. Asim Raza assured the minister that no increase will be made in flour prices.
