Microfinance Forum in Islamabad on November 28

The seventh 'Pakistan Microfinance Country Forum 2013' organised annually by Shamrock Conferences International will be held on November 28, at a hotel in Islamabad. Representatives from the regulatory bodies, microfinance banks and financial institutions, experts in the development sector, economists and academia, donor agencies, rural-support organisations and national media have confirmed their attendance.
The theme of this year's forum is "Striking a balance between poverty reduction and access to finance" and comprises two interactive sessions on 'Poverty Reduction - An Attainable Goal' and 'Access to Finance - Technology at Hand'. It will culminate with a power-packed panel discussion on the central theme of the conference.
Senior practitioners from Pakistan Microfinance Network, Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund, Khushhali Bank Limited, Waseela Bank Limited, Kashf Foundation, Orangi Town Project, Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), IFC-World Bank, Tameer Microfinance Bank, Pakistan Enterprise Development Facility, Punjab Rural Support Programme, Buksh Foundation, Bank Islami Pakistan Kashf Microfinance Bank, will be speaking on the occasion.
The annual forum aims at not only understanding how the microfinance sector leaders can better forecast market dynamics, maintain stability and fully exploit the available resources to facilitate growth at the grassroots level, but it is also expected to recommend appropriate solutions for future challenges.-PR
