Security at Punjab public hospitals questioned

The office-bearers of Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) have expressed deep concerns over the security conditions at Punjab public hospitals. Terming it deplorable they said that torture on Professor Dr Aslam at LGH on Monday by unknown persons had created a question mark on security of public hospitals. They said situation was unacceptable for doctor's community.
This was said by officers during a meeting at PMA House Lahore held here on Monday. The office-bearers demanded the government to come forward with a clear security policy for public hospitals; otherwise it would be impossible for doctor's community to offer services. The office-bearers also demanded arrest of culprits who were responsible for torture on Prof Dr Aslam of LGH.
