PU holds conference on Pak-India relations

Punjab University Department of History organised an international conference on Socio-Economic and Cultural Relations between India and Pakistan. Three sessions were held on second day of the conference, in which 12 national and international scholars presented their papers on various themes of Pakistan-India relations; these sessions were presided over by Mian Imran Masood, Sucha Singh, Professor Dr Syed Qalb-i-Abid and Wolfgang-Peter Zingel.
The speakers argued that there was need of building the relations between Pakistan and India on the foundations of various commonalities such as economic conditions, mystic and historical traditions and social problems. Such discourse can bring positive relationship between these two important states of South Asia. The conference will be concluded on Wednesday (today) when two more sessions will be organised.
