Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday issued notice to Prosecutor General Sindh, asking him to submit comments on an application filed by a Pakistan People's Party (PPP) lawmaker seeking bail in abduction and murder case of a notorious gangster Arshad Pappu.

The MNA along with Zubair Baloch, Zakir Dada and Abdul Rehman, all in prison, and another suspect Yousuf Baloch, have been charge-sheeted in the case. Uzair Jan Baloch, the chief of the banned People's Amn Committee, Habib Jan, Noor Mohammad alias Baba Ladla, his brother Zahid Ladla, Asif Kana, Faisal Pathan, Yasir Pathan, then SHOs of the Chakiwara and Kalakot police stations Chand Khan Niazi and Javed Baloch are absconding accused in the case.
A case was registered on a complaint of Pappu's widow who alleged that the victims were killed at the behest of the accused MNA. The ATC-III, Judge Khalida Yaseen, had dismissed the bail application of MNA Baloch after hearing arguments from the prosecution and defence attorneys.
