At least five people were fallen prey to the unabated spate of targeted killings at different parts of the city here on Tuesday. According to the police and rescue sources, a police constable Ali Amin (50) was gunned down by unknown man when he was on the way to his duty in the limits of New Town Police Station. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for legal formalities.
Another police constable namely Muhammad Bhotta also succumbed to his injuries in Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH). According to Itehad Town police officials, the victim sustained several bullet injuries when an unidentified gun man opened fire on him when he was deployed at Security Zone near Umar Farooq Masjid in the limits of Itehad Town police station in Sector 19-A. The culprit managed to flee from the scene. The victim was the resident of Itehad Town Colony house No-606.
Anas Shah was killed by unknown men in Bangoria Goth in the limits of Azizabad police station. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for the legal formalities. A worker of Ahl-e Sunnat Wal Jamat identified as Qari Abdul Rashid was killed by unidentified target killer in Gulshan-e-Iqbal town. Body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for legal formalities.
A lady namely Shehnaz was killed by allegedly her husband in Machar Colony in the limits of Docks police station. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for legal formalities. According to Docks police officials, Shenaz was killed by her husband Aloddin in Muhammadi Colony. Police further claimed to have arrested the man and recovered a 9mm pistol from his possession.
